I am a Psychology Coach who combines a number of therapy styles and approaches in order to assist Clients with whatever experiences it may be that they are having.
Since completing the Psychology Degree in 2007 I have worked in numerous mental health settings and gained a whole lot of varied experience in working directly with people for whatever requirements they have. For 11 years I worked in NHS Adult Mental Health Teams working with severe and enduring mental illness. The level of professional experience in this area brought a fantastic grounding of knowledge and understanding which enables me to work with any difficulty.
Whilst working with the NHS I trained in a number of varied approaches such as Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Coaching, Metaphor work, Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT) and Hypnotherapy. These, along with other skills and experience, allow clients to explore situations from a wide range of approaches and to decide which way of working suits them best. This choice and flexibility proves to be useful in assisting people to come beyond their difficulties. Positive, proactive approaches can bring refreshing insights and solutions which make situations a whole lot easier. It really is possible to achieve some big shifts and really turn a life around.
I am glad to work flexibly, and sometimes Clients only need to visit for one or two sessions to find the change that they are looking for. Wherever a situation may require a number of sessions and some longer-term assistance, then I am happy to structure this well and give a good, clear perspective of what to expect. There is much benefit in learning how things work for us and how to maintain genuine change.
