Sports Massage

A sports massage is a targeted therapeutic treatment for the unique physical and biomechanical needs of those who put their body through the regular strains of physical exercise and athletics.

This type of massage specifically targets muscle release and will help improve your flexibility, reduce pain and increase the range of motion. A sports massage is intense and can be uncomfortable because of the pressure used, but it should not be painful! We recommend booking in to see us 48 hours after a big sports event for a recovery-focused sports massage – to aid the body’s natural healing.

This treatment is provided by Joseph Ormond.

Indian Head Massage

A hands-on therapy performed by the therapist to rub, knead and squeeze the body’s soft tissues. This is done with the use of oils and includes the upper back, shoulders, neck, arms, hands, scalp and face.  There is no need for the client to remove their clothes unless they want to.

It is a wonderfully relaxing therapy that is safe and very effective at relieving aches, pains, stress and rebalancing energy flow to provide a deep sense of peace, calm and tranquillity. Benefits include; Increased blood circulation, improved concentration, easing of muscle stiffness, eye strain and tension headache relief and improved sleep quality.

This treatment is provided by Andrea Jackson.

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is the most common type of massage therapy. The primary goal with a Swedish massage is to relax your entire body, this is accomplished with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to your heart to improve your circulation, and kneading or tapping to soothe your muscles and make you feel more relaxed.

Ayurvedic Yoga Massage

Ayurvedic Yoga Massage combines traditional Indian deep tissue management with yoga-based stretching therapies. The session is given on a mattress on the floor and involves alternating between Deep Tissue Massage and a series of stretches covering all regions of the body.

AYM benefits include: harmonizes the flow of vital energy (Prana) and induces a deep stillness and opening, releases tension in the muscles, increases the range of movement, flexibility, and improves posture. AYM also provides relief and promotes recovery from mental stress and physical tension, sleep-related problems, respiratory problems, pain in the limbs (such as RSIs) and all forms of back, neck and shoulder pain.

This treatment is provided by Lily Myers.

Thai Massage

Performed through your clothes, Thai Traditional Massage leaves you in a state of sublime relaxation. Combining Chinese Medicine, Yoga and Indian Ayurveda the massage therapist uses thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, feet, knees and even shins to press and stretch your body. Thai’s believe that good health and freedom from pain result in the unhindered flow of vital energies through the body’s tissues.

Enjoy the rhythm and flow of the massage and be shocked at the degree of stretching your body can achieve! After the treatment is over you will feel relaxed, refreshed and much more flexible.

Aromatherapy Massage

An aromatherapy massage is similar to a Swedish Massage with the addition of essential oils. During the massage, you inhale these essential oil molecules or absorb them through your skin. The sense of smell is the most primitive of all our senses and is linked to some of the oldest and deepest parts of the brain so, beyond just their nice smell, essential oils can have many benefits. They promote beneficial changes to your mood, alleviate pain, detoxify your body, and ramp up your immune system, depending on the oil used.

Pain & Injury Management

Massage therapy can be hugely beneficial to those suffering with pain, especially when it comes to injury rehabilitation. It can help to speed up healing and can actually help prevent re-injury in a variety of ways.

Every case is different so we recommend you fill out the form below so we can arrange for one of our therapists to give you a call!
